Printing of National Election’s Ballots To Begin This Friday

The printing of ballot papers for Cambodia’s up-coming general elections is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 15.

H.E. Hang Puthea, Spokesperson of the National Election Committee (NEC), told a local media yesterday, adding that the committee will invite representatives of the 20 participating political parties, national and international journalists to witness the printing process.

Over 10.5 million ballot papers will be printed, nearly 3.3 million of which will be printed as samples which will be used for practical training among NEC’s officials at the polling stations throughout the country.

Cambodia is expecting the sixth National Election on July 29, 2018, wherein 22,967 polling stations will be made possible across the country.

According to NEC’s record, 8,380,217 eligible Cambodian citizens have been registered for the voting.
